Image editing is an art to save timeless memories of loved and near ones. Even business groups need it for marketing their products effectively. Professionals do this job to increase business.

In this tutorial one can learn how to resize and crop a photo to a standard frame size like 11×14”, 8×10” or 5×7” without damaging the photo. It also makes everyone in the picture appear tall and thin or short and fat.

Step1

Open the desired image in Photoshop and select the crop tool which is available in the Tools section or press ‘C’ on the keyboard to select it with the shortcut. Images preferred are of large size for better results and quality as an end product.

Step 2

After the crop tool is selected, in the Options bar one can see the width and height option where the exact width and height of the required image can be entered along with type of measurement. If one wants to crop their image to a 5×7” frame, one has to enter 5 into the width option followed by a ‘in’ for inches followed by entering 7 in the height option followed by ‘in’ again for inches.

Step 3

After entering the exact size needed one has to click inside the image and drag out the cropping border. The area inside the border is the part of the photo that will be retained and the rest of the image will be cropped away. As the image is dragged one can notice the shape of the border is fixed, this is because of the aspect ratio already being set when the exact width and height was entered in the options bar. The only thing that can be done now is resize the overall size of the image by dragging any four corners of the image.

Step 4

When happy with the size and position of the cropping order one can press enter to have the Photoshop crop the image. The image can then be saved as a copy or as original format if the previous image is not needed anymore.

This is one of the easiest methods of editing an image with the help of cropping and resizing. There are other methods in which an image can be edited which include aging and manipulating.

Good post. I learn something tougher on different blogs everyday. It’s going to at all times be stimulating to read content from different writers and follow a bit something from their store. I’d favor to use some with the content on my blog whether or not you don’t mind. Natually I’ll provide you with a hyperlink on your web blog. Thanks for sharing.

The important discussion you made about the clipping path services tutorial seemed spot on to me. But I have a click here blog which will make the matter more clear. Thank you very much for publishing the post.
